I believe that the following drawings by Joseph Papin may have been done as sketches for David Halberstam’s article, Return to Vietnam<\/em>, published in the December 1967 edition of Harper’s Magazine. While several of his drawings did appear in the article, they were lighter in tone; the following ones were not among them. To the best of my knowledge, these did not appear in print.
