Lincoln Anderson, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Village Sun, wrote an article that was published in The Village Sun on August 14, 2020 on the closing of the Daily News newsroom. Entitled \u201cExtra! \u2026 is what Daily News considers its newsroom during pandemic\u201d the article used the following drawings that Joseph Papin had done of the Daily News.

Prior to starting The Village Sun in 2019, Lincoln Anderson was the editor of The Villager for twenty years (https:\/\/thevillagesun.com\/about-us). The posthumous connections are interesting ones. Joseph Papin worked with The Villager from 1958-1961; Lincoln Anderson wrote an at least a couple of articles in The Villager about Bill Honan, a former editor of The Villager and a good friend of Joe Papin. “Just a week after the legendary New York City tabloid newsman died at age 85, the Daily News on Wed., Aug. 12, announced it was closing its newsroom.

“With the news, the paper immediately shuttered its offices in New York Plaza, down by the Battery in the Financial District. Staffers, though, will have until the end of October to clear out their personal belongings. \u2026
